Antonio Emmanuele took part in the third edition of the "Milan Jewelry Week 2023", an international event that celebrates the history and tradition of jewelry.

What is Milan Jewelry Week?
The event took place from 17 to 22 October 2023 and included two main exhibitions: “The Jewelry Hub”, which took part in “La Pelota”, and the “Artistar Jewels” exhibition held inside Palazzo Bovara, in heart of Milan.
The caliber of the event was undoubtedly international, hosting more than 350 artists from all over the world, for a total of more than 5000 jewels on display.
The “Milan Jewelry Week” was designed to enhance the identity of its brand, so as to establish new knowledge and approach new markets.
The Antonio Emmanuele Atelier has been selected to take part in the “Artistar Jewels” exhibition event.
The "Art Jewels" collection
During this event, two jewels that mark the entire artistic career of the brand were exhibited: the “Ilios” necklace, created in 2003, and the “Chlori” earrings, created specifically for the event. These jewels are part of the "Art Jewels" collection, a collection dedicated to art in all its forms and shades.
The “Ilios” necklace, created in 2003, includes several coral threads attached to a clasp entirely crafted in 750 yellow gold which represents the main focus of the jewel. It is in fact composed of triangulated amazonites that form the backdrop to the splendid Santo Domingo amber, a stone with exceptional clarity and liveliness of color.

The jewel recalls the image of a sunset, the beauty of a day that comes to an end enriching the soul with calm and tranquility and painting the sky with shades from red to yellow.
Amber was chosen precisely for its characteristics of reflecting light and emanating such a glow as to perceive the heat and intensity of the sun which slowly disappears on the horizon.
Amazonite is a mineral that takes its name from the Amazon River precisely because of its characteristic green color, which recalls the water of the river, although the main deposits of the stone are found in Madagascar, Colorado and Russia. This stone was chosen as a symbol of union between sky and sea, the horizon within which the sun disappears and then rises again in a continuous and wonderful cycle.
The resulting jewel is certainly important, ideal to wear for a special event, so as to shine with elegance.
The “Ilios” necklace draws inspiration from the painting of the romantic painter Caspar David Friedrich, “Woman at Sunset” from 1818.
The “Chlori” earrings also take inspiration from a work of art and specifically from a detail that completes the work of art, just like a jewel that determines the final style of an outfit. The work in question is "Spring" by Sandro Botticelli and the detail that recalls its characteristics is the nymph Flora, from which the earrings take inspiration for their name.
The earrings, made in 2023 specifically for the "Artistar Jewels" event, are made of stones such as jade, tagua, coral and pearls. Also in this case the setting was made by hand, in 750 yellow gold.

The jade leaves, expertly carved to highlight the veins of a leaf, were chosen for their bright color, thus creating the perfect contrast with the tagua flowers.
Tagua, also called vegetable ivory, is a stone obtained from palm seeds and its appearance is very similar to animal ivory. For this reason this stone has regained popularity, especially for its ecological aspect.
The “Chlori” earrings, with a classic and elegant style, are the perfect detail for those who want to enrich their personal style with class and refinement
without too many pretensions, enhancing simplicity and good taste for details.

The meaning of each jewel on display has been masterfully captured by the attentive and poetic eye of "Campi Visivi", a photographic studio which, like our Atelier, was born and developed on the slopes of Etna.
Ornella and Lorenzo – the faces behind the photography studio – are more than two simple photographers; they were able to capture the depth and beauty behind each of our jewels, immortalizing it forever in one shot. We couldn't help but be fascinated by their work.
Keeping the history and tradition of jewelry alive
The jewels presented in Milan were very successful, attracting the attention of various professional figures and the general public.
Participating in the "Milan Jewelry Week" was a unique experience for us, full of stimulation and satisfaction, as well as an enchanting opportunity to enrich our gaze on the production and innovation of contemporary jewellery.
The people we met at the exhibition event, as well as the parallel events organised, were a pleasant revelation for us, cultural and creative at the same time.
Seeing the world of jewelery reunited is for us a sign of hope that the art of goldsmithing, with its roots deeply anchored in history and enriched by centuries of tradition, will continue to flourish, bringing with it the light of eternal beauty, timeless.
